Hebrews11:1-3,6 " Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Faith is not a work we must do to be saved. It is a gift God gives us because He is saving us. It is a fruit of the Spirit. When Jesus overcame death on the cross, He redeemed us from sin and all the consequences and offered us faith. All we have to do now is put our trust in Him and believe. It's sad that so many religions today turn around and reject this great gift and revert to works as their means to attain life after death. How disappointed they will be one day.
